Crafting with my Cricut Explore Air 2

My husband bought me the Cricut for Christmas 2017. I have to admit it intimidated me at first. But, like everything I do in life, I ripped open the box and jumped right in.

My first word of advice for anyone new to the Cricut world is WATCH LOTS OF YOU TUBE VIDEOS. There are a lot of much more talented people out there than I am so I started finding YouTubers with lots of followers. Here is a list of some of the Cricut Crafters I follow on You Tube. WAIT! Before I give you that list I have to say this…Please, if you are going to do YouTube videos plan them out before you start the camera. If you need a script then write one. Nothing will make me stop watching a YouTube video than someone umming and awwing through the entire video. OK, here’s the list:

Official Cricut YouTube Channel

Expressions Vinyl

Lorrie Nunemaker

Melody Lane

Dreaming Tree

Auntie Tay

Stahls’ TV

This is definitely not an all inclusive list but a good start. I’ve watched lots of videos on all these channels and, if I need a refresher on…let’s say layering vinyl…I just return and watch the videos again.

Hope this helps get you started. Here are just a few of the items I have made. There are many more but this gives you an idea of the versatility of the machine. Now I wish I would have bought the Maker.
