It’s Watermelon Season … How to Slice a Watermelon
I don’t know where I saw this but it has been several years ago. I have been using this technique to cut watermelon since reading it. I thought I would share it with you today. Here is how I slice a watermelon. First cut the watermelon into two equal halves. Place the watermelon cut side down onto your cutting board. Using a sharp knife slice down, removing the outside skin of the watermelon. Straw Bale Gardening has gathered some momentum in the last couple of years. David and I started straw bale gardening in 2017 after our friends Nick and Tauna had such great success with theirs. Our main purpose for trying straw bale gardening was the tomatoes. Our Second Year of Straw Bale Gardening
I don’t know if we can technically call it “straw bale” gardening as this year we decided to use Bermuda grass bales. As we continue with our garden this year I will keep you posted on what we are doing and what we have learned along the way. Welcome to Our World
This blog is about our life on our Oklahoma Centennial farm. Since leaving radio I needed an outlet to tell the stories about life on the farm. In the 10+ years that I was on the air I heard many times how much everyone enjoyed my stories about the farm.
